Thompson Sanitation provides residential service within the city limits of Albert Lea, Hayward, Hollandale & Maple Island, Clarks Grove, Ellendale, and Geneva.

Residential rates are calculated based on the volume of garbage you produce each week. For customer convenience, Thompson has 38, 65, and 95 gallon carts available for weekly pickup. If your volume of garbage has changed over time, due to family downsizing or increased recycling, please call us to make an adjustment. We may be able to save you some money. Our goal is to keep our rates as low as expenses allow.

Bright orange metered bags for low volume customers are available at the customer service desk of either Hy Vee or County Market stores, as well as from the route drivers. Put the orange bags out only when full. There is no weekly pickup charge for this service.
